Dr David McLoughlin CBE FRCP FFOM FFOM(I)

David McLoughlin went to medical school at Queen’s University Belfast. After qualifying in 1990, he initially trained as a General Practitioner before completing training in Occupational Medicine and leadership.

McLoughlin is a Fellow of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians. He was awarded the Order of St John in 2005, the Order of the British Empire in 2014 and made a Commander of the British Empire in 2022. He has served as the Director of Assessment for the Faculty of Occupational Medicine and President of the Society of Occupational Medicine.

David is married to Anna, a consultant physician, and has two daughters, both medical students. His interests include mountain walking, skiing, flying and gardening.
