Dr John Colvin is an Occupational Health Physician with a background in military medicine, anaesthetics and diving and hyperbaric medicine. He is an Associate of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (AFOM) and a HSE Appointed Doctor for both Compressed Air Works and Ionising Radiation, as well as a HSE Approved Examiner of Divers.
His current practice is split between Health Partners Group, where he provides specialist OH support to complex health surveillance and defence manufacturing clients, and TunnelMed, where he leads occupational health provision for compressed air works on major UK civil infrastructure tunnelling projects.
He is first author of the compressed air and diving medicine chapter in the forthcoming 11th edition of Hunter's Diseases of Occupational Medicine. His MSc dissertation on health surveillance for dysbaric osteonecrosis in compressed air workers is the recipient of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine Peter Taylor Award.
