Kathy is an experienced Occupational Health Physiotherapist and Director of Working Health Consulting Ltd.   As well as running a successful Occupational Health Consultancy Practice she is actively involved in postgraduate education in Occupational Health and Ergonomics to multi professional teams, with current Associate Lecturing positions at the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University.     She has been active within The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health and Ergonomics (ACPOHE), which is a specialist network of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy for the last 8 years and developed a portfolio of  blended learning postgraduate courses for physiotherapists in Occupational Health.  In addition, she has led a project funded by the CSP to support the education of First Contact Physiotherapy Practitioners in having effective work conversations and completing the fit note.   She plans to continue this work by educating and advising GP's on the role of First Contact Physiotherapy Practitioners in Primary Care. Kathy is thrilled to have been asked to talk at the SOM conference this year on Occupational Health Physiotherapy and hopes to increase awareness by Occupational Health Physicians of the role of Occupational Health Physiotherapy.
