Professor David Fishwick

David is a just retired, now emeritus, consultant respiratory physician with a major clinical and research interest in occupational lung disease. He worked within the NHS at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. He is also a Co-Director of the Centre for Workplace Health, and the Chief Medical Advisor for both the Health and Safety Executive in GB, and also for HSE Northern Ireland. He retains significant teaching and research activity as an honorary Professor of Occupational and Environmental Respiratory Medicine, at the University of Sheffield, and also with his work in the Centre for Occupational and Environmental Health at the University of Manchester. He has been involved in a number of national and international initiatives relating to occupation and respiratory health, with a particular interest in causes, and prevention, of diseases of the airways.
